! ! Corona Virus Update ! !

Sunday Worship – Livestream only

Because of the most recent concerns about the spread of the virus and the reintroduction of shielding, for the remainder of February we will be having online worship only.

We are sorry for any disappointment, but under the current circumstances, and taking into consideration all the current guidance, the PCC has concluded that this is the safest and most responsible way forward.

We will of course be keeping everything under regular review.

We can join together in the online worship by clicking the buttons and following the links below.

!! A L P H A !!

Is there more to life than this?

Why do people pray when life gets tough?

Am I the only one who thinks this?

You probably can’t ask Siri, the delivery driver, or your dog these questions.

So pause Netflix... Try Alpha!

St Budeaux Parish Church invite you to join us with your questions

for an online Alpha course, Wednesdays, 7.30-9pm,

starting from 3rd March for 9 weeks (via Zoom).

Each session we watch a video, then break into small discussion groups to share our thoughts and ask those burning questions.

To find out more or register for the course, please email Phill Parker or phone 01752 659856. (

Good Friday IllustrationHelp during Corona lockdown: Jigsaws to your door

Are you feeling bored or anxious? Have you got that ‘shut in’ feeling?

In these stressful days, jigsaws are becoming more popular again as a way of passing the time or taking your mind off what is going on at the moment.

Several people have commented on how much this simple pastime has helped them.

We are offering a free delivery / collection service from our Jigsaw Library to those in the PL5 area.

For more information contact Lyn and Ted on 01752 706728 or email jigsaws (

Corona Virus

Most Upcoming Events are subject to cancellation or postponement due to the Coronavirus and regular church activities are suspended until further notice.

However... News hot off the press is that we have a plan A and a plan B for Good Friday and Easter.

Plan A is that we will be opening up for live face to face in person worship on Good Friday and be ready to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead together in and outside the church building on Easter Sunday. That will be a great time to come together.

Plan B is there in case the restrictions from COVID are not relaxed after all. Do please pray for wisdom for us all to adjust to these new situations as well as possible.

During the Week

The Church Building will be open on Wednesdays, 10.30am-12.00 noon, for quiet private prayer.

On Mondays at 7.45pm: Zoom Time to Chat, a friendly social gathering on Zoom, chance to meet people and catch up. Everyone welcome. Contact Stephen for the link.

Lent Course: “What are we here for?”

We are using our Tuesday Evening Zoom slot for a series of special Lent Meetings with the title “What are we here for?” Meetings start at 7.30 on the same Zoom number as the Prayer meetings and Time to Chat.

We are looking at the 5 W words we use in our services, continuing this Tuesday with Worship... What have we learned in lockdown about worship?.. Does absence make the heart grow fonder?.. What do you miss?

There is also an extra cunning plan behind these meetings, but you will only find it out by joining in!

Wed and Sat at 9:00am – reflections and prayers - via Zoom. We would love more people to give it a try too. No prior experience needed.

Playtots - For further information please contact Lyn through email at Early Years (

The Archbishop of Canterbury (and his team) have produced a daily hope line - a free phoneline with a message, songs, reflections, and prayers.
